OPENING YOUR HEART

When we open our hearts to others particularly those of the opposite sex, we fail to search them FIRST, for weapons that can cause mass destruction in OUR HEARTS. They come into our hearts with a battle axe swinging in every direction imaginable, never realizing the damage that they are causing. And then they go on their way, leaving us for dead. Proverbs 4:23 says, "Keep your heart with all diligence, for out of it springs the issues of life". Whenever we open our hearts, we take a chance of being hurt. If you don't want to be hurt, then never allow anyone into your heart. Lock it away into a coffin of your own design. Never have feelings for anyone or any thing. Thereby, your heart can never be broken. But when you do withhold your heart, you lock it away in a dark box, where it cannot be broken, but it will change. Yes it will become unbreakable, hard as stone and impenetrable. Hearts are meant to grow in love, but nothing can grow in darkness. God has made us to be loving toward one another. You cannot accomplish this without opening your heart. Therefore when we suffer heartache and pain, remember always that Our Lord is the healer of broken hearts.
