LOVE
LOVE RECIPROCATED (Jer 31:3, Titus 3:4)
Today I was given a revelation. Today God has made me to begin to understand His love. Although all this time that I have spent studying the Word of God, I thought I knew what love was, true love that is, love reciprocated. I was married 24 years, to a beautiful woman who died in 1998. I have since met the woman of my dreams, the woman that I have always dreamed about having in my life. Over the past few months, we have become very close, although far apart, for she is in Arizona and I am in Chicago. Nevertheless she has been able to reveal her heart to me, and through that revealing, God has made me to understand the scripture “I have drawn you with loving kindness.” (Jer 31:3) This woman had shown a heart so big that I could probably move in nineteen families with 19 kids. She has drawn me with loving kindness and affection and long suffering, through all of the things that she has exhibited. She has made me to understand what love really is and what compels us to reciprocate that love. Now I have a great urge inside of me, God has caused a welling up inside of me, to show this woman the love and kindness that she has shown me, because she has loved me first. Now I understand the scripture “We love Him because He first loved us.” (1John 4:19) I love her because she has shown me the definition of true love.
John 15:13 it says “Greater love has no one than this, than to lay down one’s life for his friends. You are my friends if you do what I command you.” Now that is our Lord speaking to US. Then in 1John 3:16 by the way of the Holy Spirit, He gives us the definition of love, “by this we know love because He laid down His life for us and we also should also lay down our lives for our friends”. This woman has exhibited all the characteristics of love, therefore now I am compelled; I am on a great mission to reciprocate her love towards me. Her name is Sylvia and she is the God-given love of my life. Now I have said all these things for a reason, that you might see the love that God has poured out onto you. Make your prayer be to come to understand those things of God and the fact that you ARE nothing without Him….I speak only of myself…and now I am more pressed to show Him love reciprocated, our God is a gracious God, He is a loving God, He is kind, He is compassionate, He is long-suffering with us. These are the things that we are to exhibit also, that we are to reciprocate God’s love for us to others, not out of DEBT because you owe someone something but out of GRATITUDE, out of RECIPROCATED LOVE FOR HIM because HE loved us first! Sylvia is a woman with a heart that is filled with love for me…she came into my life unexpected and has shown me love and life….therefore I dedicate my life to make her happy to love her as God loves her…she does not ask much….but she gives so much. We therefore must obey His commandment…..”love one another as I HAVE LOVED YOU” (John 13:34)…..there are very few who see these things…….pray and ask for eyes to see, for God gives so much and yet asks so little.
PRAYER FOR TODAY:
FATHER OPEN MY EYES TODAY….HELP ME TO SEE HOW YOU HAVE POURED OUT YOUR LOVE AND KINDNESS IN MY LIFE. YOU O GOD, CREATED ME FROM NOTHING….YOU KNEW ME BEFORE I WAS BORN, SHOW ME LORD, HOW TO LOVE LIKE YOU. IN JESUS NAME I HUMBLY PRAY. AMEN
